Description

Bailey Pegasus Genoa GT65

A couple looking for an affordable and desirable two-berth tourer may find the Pegasus GT65 Genoa the perfect tourer for them. The new range maintains the Italian-styled furniture with the traditional Bailey Walnut veneer finish and has a choice of two fabrics available. Despite a slightly narrower 2.24m (7’4″) body width, the tourer upholds a feeling of space with the new sunroof which dominates the front room, while the Whale heating system includes a new rapid water heater system and space heater.
The standout feature of the kitchen is the dual-fuel hob which has an electric hotplate and three gas burners, while a Thetford Caprice oven and a Dometic 103-litre refrigerator are featured in the latest models.
The bathroom has also been modernised with a new Thetford C-260 swivel cassette toilet, an on-board shower unit and a fully lined shower cubicle with bi-fold partition door.
The GT65 Genoa is constructed from an Alu-Tech body shell, which comes with a six-year guarantee as standard. It also features grade-III standard insulation, which helps keep families warm at night. This has been updated with an upper body panel cloaked in a single sheet impact resistant GRP outer skin for extra durability and front and rear impact resistant bumpers.
The Radio/CD/MP3 player, which features an iPod/MP3 player connection point and branded dual-cone stereo speakers, will ensure that everyone is entertained. Meanwhile the range also includes the Whale I-Van Intelligent Control touch screen panel.

Bailey Pegasus Genoa GT65

The Pegasus GT65 is being launched as part of a year of celebrations for Bailey (the company’s 65th anniversary is on June 17th) and follows other celebratory ranges like the Ranger GT60 introduced in 2008.

Like all other Bailey models, it’s built using the patented Alu-Tech construction technology; there are over 22,000 Alu-tech leisure vehicles on the road not just in the UK but they are now exported to Australia and New Zealand too. There has been a positive reaction to the Unicorn II models introduced late in 2012 and there is a need to provide greater balance to the model range. Pegasus GT65 follows the development pathway of the portfolio and has the DNA of Unicorn II brought into what is a mid-range product.

In keeping with the company’s philosophy, it is a lightweight design to harmonise with lighter weight tow vehicles, driving licence restrictions for certain age groups and the spiralling cost of fuel. Single axle models have a MTPLM under 1500kgs, and on average there is a weight reduction of 50kgs across the range compared with the current Pegasus range.
